While I'm trying to decide what I want in a CJ, I'm working getting this older restoration 1951 Farmall Cub going. It looked great but hasn't run in almost 6 years now and sat for about 10 before that, and 20 before that. My idea is to put it back to work instead of just getting it running every decade or so. I've already had to rewire it and right now the valves on the flathead 4 are soaking in some kroil as every cylinder had a stuck valve.

My supervisor in this project: Farmer "Tater" (grandson)

and a proof of concept fitting for having the drawbar go up and down with the hydraulic lift. Cubs never came with 3 point hitches like tractors today have, so my idea is to put a heavy 2" receiver hitch on to the drawbar and use that for attaching various implements like grader blades, etc. Modern ATV implements seem to be pretty close to the right size of an ol' Cub.

That's quite possibly one of the most awesome, yet confusing things I've ever seen!

Thanks guys Im surprised it turned out so well and that im smart enough to build something like that. It was a nice change from building the wheeled machines that I usually work on.

Lots of projects....currently aside from the cj we have 2 fj40's, most recently I picked up the tan one from a local junkyard. Then we have a 1970 westfalia vw bus. And last is a 1966 vw bug/ my girlfriends daily driver.

Iv been working on my 911 I built the rear window louvers for it a little while ago very happy with them. Right now iv got the door apart these cars are notorious for ripping out the door stay and this one is no exception so im welding it up from the inside its quite a challenge. And im replacing the injector seals theyre just flopping around with rock hard O rings air leaks oh my. Its been so cold out there makes the job 10x harder than it should be.

Since I supposedly live in the snow belt, vintage sleds is my other addiction.
Just picked up this one the other day. #39 of less than 200 built in their final year of production: 20180120_090534 - Copy.jpg
    20180120_090526.jpg
Liquid cooled Xenoah engine, stock made their peak HP at 83-8500 rpm, built right you can spin one over 9K!
Dual 38mm Mikunis, twin pipes, just a cool sled. Should be a real hoot once it's done.
