    Hi guys
I've misplaced or lost the illustration/picture showing and describing where each body mount went and what thickness each one was. I still have the diagram, I received from Sean, showing body bolt locations and descriptions of size & length of each body bolt location but the body mount diagram has left the building. Would appreciate it one of you guys could post up the body mount diagram.

    THANKS, Jim

Thanks for the link to Busters body mounts but that's not near what the original mounts were. There were at least 3 different thickness sizes used. So comes my need of the body mount diagram that does exist.

It's not in the FSM? There is a frame diagram in the CJ-5 book. In this era, the body mounts were strips of tire sidewall that were punched into rectangles, with a hole in the center. Walck's sells a similar part that's made from rubber belting.

Yes, you are correct. I'm surprised Walck's don't sell the "complete" kit for a 2A . For the CJ2A there were at least 3 different thickness body mounts used. There is/was a diagram showing their location AND thickness. All the body mounts on my '47 were gone from age and the diagram I once had on file poofed thanks to the hard drive going south. Yes I now have a external backup!

Huh. I put stock away at a large Jeep dealership (supposedly #2 in the nation) and I only remember two part numbers; one cut from sidewall and one cut from tread. I suspect the thickness tolerances were quite loose. The thin one was the popular number, possibly A4416? That is a very early number, ca 1945. The other was a 6xxxxx number - a few years later - and I thought it only applied to the Utility vehicles.

When I sold my M38 to @Buster1 I gave him the diagram and a second page that told which thickness went with each location. I was hoping he might see this and provide what he had. It was a terrible copy. But it was enough to figure it out. I had purchased a kit for the CJ2A and it had the various thicknesses of the body mounts.

It was listed in some manual that also showed the bolt sizes and their locations.
