    1956 AD For The CJ-5

The next to the last drawing shows a jeep using a 3 point scoop. It appears to be a Stratton-Hydro lift. Up to this point ad and the Special Equipment book have featured the Monroe lift.

Anyone seen other ads from this period with a Stratton lift?

This is perhaps? a 1960 ad --if the Form # ILJ -60 refers to 1960.

Most of my dating of the Stratton lift has been based on the patent info - US3078930A - Implement lift for automotive vehicle - Google Patents

However, it seems unlikely that Jeep would have gone for 3-4 years without a "Jeep Approved" hitch. I don't have enough facts to determine when the Stratton lift was first put into production. I am trying to do the research, but mostly hitting dead ends. So I was pretty excited to see that drawing.
