Fixed the water neck. Still had a drip. Brand new water pump dripping from the weep hole. Bangs head against wall...

Edited: it now has a piece of wooden dowel for a stopper. I sulk and make good effort at finishing off the Makers Mark

Shouldn't the cable be on the outer hole of the lever?

You plugged that little weep hole? Is this a V8? I dont recommend that. The weep hole vents a leaking gasket to your garage floor instead of inside the timing cover.

V6 ( 231of) not possible to leak inside the cover on that design. It's been sitting a number of years, I'll see if the gaskets " revitalize" with fluid. Worst case new water pump. Didn't have time to drain it down and deal with it.

Removed the input shaft and bearing retainer from the 3B T90 for use in a later trial. I did some piddling and made the decision to move the rear axle forward a couple inches to alleviate future tire height choices and to adjust my rear shackle angle.

yesterday in my 2a i put in a newer stereo because my 8$ tape deck from 20 years ago wasnt working well anymore. Today i decided to tackle the brakes again. the right front was locking up since i put the 11" drums on like 6 years ago. I traced it back to the master. pulled it out and rebuilt it. Couldnt get the system to bleed and the back seemed out of adjustment. I pulled a drum and its soaked in fluid dirt and probably some grease. So the rears are going to get gone through tomorrow and i may try to replace the lefty studs since its the only wheel left. Also the shock bushing are toast. Can of worms

Got the engine for my son's Willys pickup back from the machine shop today. I had originally wanted to do a quick re-ring and new bearings on this engine.
Now, it's .030 over with new pistons and moly rings, crank turned 10-10, new cam, oil pump, timing chain etc. etc. etc...
But it should be good for many years to come!

Installed a new oil pressure gauge. Old sending unit was shot so I figured if I was going to replace it with something, it may as well be something that tells me exactly what the engine oil is doing (y)

It did come with the plastic hose and it is cheesy, that’s how it is hooked up now and I’m not too impressed. I can’t see that stuff lasting very long so tomorrow I think I may go to the auto parts store and grab some copper line and be done with it for good(y)

Yeah , after a month of only idling and driving around here, I had an oil leak that I thought was a blown rear main seal. Literally ,was spraying from vibration chafe on the Lousy plastic . Years back, I recall that it was 1/4 " Lousy plastic, but we could use an insert to stiffen it at the nut. Not available with 1/8 " .......too frigg'n small ! Btw, they got a kit at the auto parts places, with the copper, nuts, sleeves , & fittings for around 11 Bucks. Grab it, you'll sleep better !

If you use copper line, put a couple of coils in it right where it comes out of the engine... Something like you would see below a master cylinder on the metal brake lines. If you don't, eventually the vibration from the engine will cause the copper line to snap off right at the end of the block.
