Need a little help. Are the thinner races/bearings the inner or outer set?

They came in a set, so I don't know which is which. I'm replacing the hubs, too, and I don't have a puller to check the thickness of the races in the old hubs. The bearings fell out of the old hubs before I realized they weren't the same.

They're Timken but they came in a set, race/bearing part numbers:
    thinner 102910 / 102949
    thicker 501310 / 501349

I tend to think the thicker set would be inner, but Crown sells the thinner set on QT listed as "inner" (I can just barely make out the part numbers in the photo) and they don't list an "outer" set. Or maybe the inner needs to be thinner to clear the thicker step on the spindle? Obviously I'm making wild guesses here...

Thinner goes inner but only if you have spindles that were intended for disk brakes.
If you don’t have disk brakes the spindles should fit 501310/501349 both inner and outer.

Yes, disc brakes, should have mentioned that. I also neglected to clarify this is a 79 axle on a 76 CJ... been a long morning.

Boy those bearings are a tight fit on the spindle.

Not sure how to keep the outer bearing from just popping out of the cup when I'm trying to mount it all back up.

If the outer slides out of the race just push it back in before putting the nuts back on.
