Where/ who has the best deal on early cj5 windshield glass?

 

What year CJ-5? Which windshield do you have? There 6 different ones I'm aware of during the run of the CJ-5.
I've found local glass shops usually work well.

Its a sept 1970 cj5 renegade I .So i dont know if there is any thing special about it?

I was hoping you guys would LOL , because I have no clue.

I will check local shops , probable safer on the glass then having it shipped.

Anything of interest that I should tell them? to make sure I get the right one?

 

Pull the windshield off, carry it over and leave it with them for a couple of days. Estimate to replace the glass on my vented windshield including labor was less than $100 IIRC...

But my woodshop did a lot of business with them over the years.......

 

So it has bottom mount wipers with the motor on the outside and arched-top glass? That should be the same glass from '69-'75 if so.
I'm moving this to Early CJ tech for better exposure.

I would check E-Bay.......like $99.00 delivered for most CJ Windshields

Yep. The earlier glass is clearly rectangular, with room for the top mounted wipers above the glass.

Mine was cut from a sheet of thick plexi-glass. Was on the JEEP when I got it back in 2006.
