I installed this 15 gallon tank many many years ago. Has held up well. Same location as yours.
Made my straps. Have a RV SurFlo pump and small lawn mower battery in a box on front of trailer. Just charge it up before the trip. Battery only operates the water pump.
Tank didn't cost that much when I bought mine from Coast RV Supplies.

I cut the floor out of the tent over the trailer portion so you can stand up and not touch the ceiling, or sit on the bed with your feet on the floor. :)

I got the plumbing finished, and pump installed. It's not wired yet but I'm almost there.

My daughter and I went camping the last week in August, and en route to the camp site I noticed the trailer seamed to bottom out. So, While I am waiting for parts to arrive to start my twin stick conversion, I thought I would give the trailer a lift.

Yes I know the left spring is not straight, I beat it into submission after I noticed it in this pic.

The dog said she was to busy sunning to help!

I decided to do a trial run, get everything I want to take and pack it all up. :steamed: Too much stuff and too little space. So I took the solar panels and control board out and hooked them up, I have had to charge the batteries a couple of times, this way the system will be self maintaining. I cut down the board and mounted it inside the trailer.

Then I mounted the panels on a conduit frame and put them on the roof.

There are some things I need to address, the canvas, that I tried waterproofing, isn't, hence the tarp that will be removed before travel I'm thinking a plastic sheet, like those used recovering bathroom walls might work, and put it under the canvas.

Another are the connections, especially the one that connects the two panels together, it's wired in series, and is directly exposed on the roof. The connections going to and from, can be secured under the panels. But I suppose 65 MPH driving in the rain would still be an issue. I know there are orings built into the connectors but, ........... I wonder if they make something for that,? I'll have to look.

Looking back over this, I'm looking at the controller, ....... I think it needs a weather proof box too, Hmmmm
    I need a coffee :coffee:

Now that the trip is done, I thought I'd put my camping solar to work at home. I am running a DC line to the house to charge, phones, tablets and the like. :coffee:

Oh, I know you can't see it but my Iceco cooler/freezer is behind the trailer running 24/7

Here it is December and I just got the trailer in the garage. Since 2004 I have been going to SoCal in the spring. I generally stay for 2 to 4 weeks. In January of this year my mother in law fell and broke her hip and we went out to help and stayed for 3 months, well my wife stayed, after about 5 days it was time for me to head to the hot springs. This type of camping for which my setup is designed. But I think I would like to do some overlanding and my setup is to complex for easy setup and tear down. Sooooo,
1st project is to make the solar panels power tilt. It took me way too long to do this, as the panels were already mounted on a frame. I built a second frame and used a solar tilt motor. It works but the mechanics are sloppy.

It works for now, If when I stop I face the trailer to the south, I can raise the solar panels to better catch the sun. BTW the panels are upside down as shown.
