Thanks guys. The dust is starting to lift a bit. Mom is doing much better now. We are making adjustments in life. Hoping in a couple of weeks to maybe get back after this one. Hoping warm weather is coming.

Thanks guys for all the well wishes. Its definately been a journey. My mom has required a lot of my time sense my Dad passed. She has been refined to a wheelchair and I have been over almost every day to get her up and walking around the house. And now the yard choirs have passed onto me, so time is still very limited on all my projects. But I did find time today to look at

I was sorry to hear of your loss. My Mom lost her husband in Oct so all the farm 'stuff' has been dropped back on my plate too. Unfortunately, its a 2 hour drive to the farm.

It takes a while, but hopefully you and your Mom will find a balance and both will be able to find some happiness in the end.

It's only a two hour round trip for me. She doesn't want me there before 1030, so it's in the middle of my day. But when I leave each day, there is nothing like the feeling when she hugs me.

I've been able to get things here and there when I get time. A buddy has been helping me work on it in his spare time. Axles are done and fitted on the new RC springs. Engine has been resealed and painted. When I first got the Jeep home, I tuned the motor with new points etc and set the timing. It ran great and didn't smoke or smell like oil burning at all. But I did strip it down and when I dropped the pan, it was very clean in the bottom except a lot of silicone gasket material. The timing cover was loaded with it. The intake also had the vaccum ports plugged, so it went into the parts washer for a week. Ports are very clean now. The motor has been rebuilt at one time. Cylinder walls have visible cross hatching, rods have been marked and piston skirts looked great. It's back together and awaiting new Dauntless decals. Carb still needs a cleaning and rebuild. I had mounted five new 31/1050-15 km3's on renegade D slot wheels, but now with the Dana 30 disc brakes up front, I'm changing rims. I'm torn because I have four really sweet scrambler chrome wagons sitting on the axles right now and they are growing on me. I know they are not era correct, but they will go nice with that chrome front bumper. Tranny, T case and bell will go on next in a few days. Pics won't load off my phone because they are to large.

Some progress made. Motor, tranny, TC mounted. Trying to get pedal assembly and master cylinder in, then brake lines, exhaust ( which has a problem ) . Then I can think about painting tub.

Finally finished the chassis today. Ended with a tie rod flip, cross over steering and rebuilt and installed V6 box.

Put new stock steel wheels on today with a set of BFG KO2's today. But had to pull the master cylinder. The piston wouldn't return. Hopefully it's fixed and will install and bleed tomorrow again.

Before chassis went into the trailer. I'm getting busy with the spruce tip green presently.

Waldons exhaust was pretty good fitment wise. Hangs down a little under drivers side to rear, but its not a wheeling rig anyways. I think the stock exhaust was about the same. Chassis is in trailer and might be moved to new house location, while I figure out getting the rest of the sheet metal into paint here. Have the two fenders, hood and grill and dash in Spruce tip green. Starting to really like this color.

Some of the painted parts going into the trailer for protection from me being too close to them.

Thank you sir. I've never seen spruce tip green up close after new paint has been applied. I'm starting to like this color a lot. How popular was it back in the day ? I've had two this color over the years, but nothing close to this nice and shiny.
