So this made me look at my VIN tag and there is an "S" stamped between the 1st 4 and the last 5 numbers. Any ideas.... 6 vin.jpg

Yours a 6A? The "S" looks to be for CA emissions.

A very nice Jeep indeed ! From just the pictures I would think that Jeep would bring top dollar, which varies depending on what part of the country, but I would say between $15k - $20k would be a reasonable expectation around here.

Hello! I saw your Facebook post :) Despite that it’s not an original v6 Dauntless Tuxedo Park, it will still bring strong money! I’d say between 12K-15K USD. Possibly more for someone really wanting it.

The dash panel “slot” for the column shift linkage, and the VIN number not having the “A” shows that the original engine was the 134.

The correct hubcaps would be the Cutlas Deluxe full turbines.
1966 was the year the Dauntless was offered
and the Jeeps had a V6 emblem below the JEEP logo

The Tux you have pictured is a 1964 model year. The V6 in it is not original. The serial number is 1141 units newer than mine, purchased new by my father. The red Tux originally had an F134 and a column-shift 3 speed. You can see where the column shift linkage originally passed through the special dash cutout to accommodate it. This Tux has the correct single-lever transfer case, and the black shift decal shows this. Yes, its supposed to have a throttle control on the dash as seen in the photos.
Other than the V6 engine and lacking the full turbine hubcaps, it looks pretty correct and complete.
    Any other specific questions?
Edit: The production date for 12541 is mid October of 1964, so this is correctly titled as a 1965 model, still too early to have the Dauntless from the factory. There should be a chassis-mounted battery tray on the right corner of the engine compartment on F134 models. There appears to be a radiator hose attaching to the side(?) of the radiator in this area. Is there evidence of the tray in this area?

4.27 gears is what I assumed it has since it appeared to be originally a F-head.
