Can you title it as a homebuilt?

I never even titled mine
Edit: Or registered it. I've got several copies of the bill of sale, keep one in the glovebox. Done probably 4k miles of travel across AZ and CA without getting pulled over for it, and it only has one tailight (never got around to installing another one).

Must be a Texas situation? In Michigan the lack of Vin or title for a small trailer is a non issue. How problematic would it be to get fenders? To me the price seems high given the missing fenders.

Agreed. I paid 320 for mine with fenders and no trailer lights. Lights are cheap, fenders not so much.

If that were close to me, it would already be in my yard!

The DPS VIN inspection will identify it as a manufactured trailer. Texas has tightened up their home built trailer titling. I’m sure someone will school me on trailer titling in Texas. :schooled:
