There is a guy in NW NY that is restoring one. It has a GPW body and then there is a gent in OK that is restoring one. If it has the wrong engine there is a gent in CA that has one but no carb.

Why would anyone put a gpw body on a gp, you end of with a jeep that is not worth anything.

GPW on a GP? because everything got used until it could no longer be usefull. Back then labor was cheap and parts relatively expensive.
Back then they actually had repairmen that fixed small items in your house. Imagine having a toaster fixed? Hell toasters are so inexpensive now they get tossed because the color doesn't match the kitchen!

Well I got the Ford home this afternoon. The engine turns over by hand but it is missing the coil and the correct carb. It is still 6 volt though. Here is a link to more pictures. If there is something else you want to see I can take more pictures.

Yeah, that'll make a good project for the right person with the right resources. Just curious, did the PO know what it is and it's rarity?

Pretty cool, i see potential there.I would even run it like it is, just treat everything so it wouldnt rust anymore. Interesting how the spring to frame mount is so long.
