Dana 20 Stabilizer Stud Question

    Hi. I replaced all the rubber mounts on my jeep. I installed the transmission stabilizer stud the same way the old worn out one was installed. With all the nuts tight, the whole assembly is still loose. I can move it up and down, vertically. So, it doing absolutely nothing. I couldn't find any info in any of my FSM's.
    Am I supposed to add more washers until it's tight, or did I install it wrong? Any advice? Thanks.

    i believe the torque stud just prevents excess movement. the mount is what holds things solid. Some play is correct.
