Thats what I have on my CJ. They work pretty well-they flex good and the ride is rough, but better than the Rancho springs I had before. I also like the lifetime warranty. One of my rear springs started to sag after about six years and I got two new rear springs at no cost.
Here's a pic of how high it sits-I'm running 31 inch tires.

BDS has a good reputation. I would not hesitate to install a set of BDS leaf springs.

Excellent product. I have a set on my CJ-6.

Expect a real lift of 2.5" over stock though. The Jeep will sit higher than it did when it left the factory.

33x10.5-15, on 7" rims. 2.5" backspacing. It has flares on it now - likely it would not pass inspection without the flares.

Thanks, appreciate the info on the rims and backspacing too.

As for the BDS, I had done a lot of research and got some good info from some folks on this forum last fall when I was planning the work on our '63. The BDS 2.5 kit came up as the springs of choice. But, my short wife said "no lift" on her Jeep. So, I'm thinking the '56 will get the BDS kit when we start work on it next year.

I have had them on 3 Jeeps now and they work really well. They do seem to need a few miles on a really off-camber trail to break in nicely. I like the package deal with the shocks and new u-bolts.

Thanks for all the positive inputs.
As i didnt find any BDS informaion on the forum i had the feeling that no one use them from the early cj-5s.
I will get myself a set of that suspension kit.
Some years ago, the only source for early cj-5 springs stopped making then (made large amounts for military use), so the only option is to import.
