Im doing the disc brake conversion and ran into a problem.... the longer studs part # 610106 will have to be pressed into the driver side hub.....but drop right into the passenger hub. The splines mate up right and the stud won't turn but it can be pushed out by hand. Both hubs have the same part # on the back so im at a loss. Is this ok or do i need a new hub? Has anyone seen this before? These are drum brake hubs on my 69 cj5. Also I've seen comments about a race conversion for the drum brake huds can someone tell me the part # and why i will need it. As always thank you for the help and info.

If the studs can be pushed out by hand either the hole in the hub is worn out/damaged or you have the wrong stud. These should be a press fit. The conversion race is to properly center the rotor with the caliper. Otherwise you won't be able to get the caliper on. In the off chance you can the inner pad will be tight against the rotor. I can get the # later today but the only difference in the part # from what you should have now is the last digit. The last two digits of your inner race should be 10 and the conversion race is 11. If you can't find them R&P 4 WD Parts Inc. stocks them.
