What types of bolts were used to fasten the tub down. Were the thru the floor bolts carriage type with a round head or just standard with a washer ?

While I am not positive about the original bolts John, I do know that the original hat channels had wood (oak?) in them to keep them from crushing where the bolts went through. The ones in the floor boards by the driver and passenger feet are almost always pulled through. I welded a short piece of tubing in there as a support/sleeve for the bolts. Might be worth considering.

The replacement channels have the tubes welded in them already

Not carriage bolts. Standard grade-5 bolts, AFAIK.

Not 100% sure about '67, but on my '68 and '69, there is no mounting point there on the driver side of the frame. There is an angle brace off the frame for the front hole, next mounting point back is the flange at the riser behind the tank/front of wheelhouse. It mounts in a slotted hole where the frame starts to curve up over the rear axle.

Passenger side does have 2 angle braces coming off the frame. Same on the '71 frame as well. Hope this helps.

No bolt hole/mount there because that's where the fuel tank is. Would not be a good idea to chance having a bolt head rub on the bottom of the fuel tank.

I would use carriage bolts in foot area of the body. Doesn’t matter for the rest. Round is easier on the feet and floor mats if you choose to use them.

I got stainless steel carriage bolts at Lows, then filed the 1/2" holes square. You only need two in the front floor. I cut a piece of carpet for the box floor, it covers the hex bolts in the box and keeps stuff from sliding around. Good Luck

On the flattys, there is a bolt under the gas tank. It is a special one with no head and a piece of thicker sheetmetal welded to it. Then it was spot welded to the floor.

From the factory there were carriage bolt - style bolts in the rear floor, the other three in the front floor were standard hex head. The rear floor ones are available from the usual suspects.
