cut approx 6.5 inches off the rear of the yj hood,,,welded it to the rear of the commando hood,,,i just couldnt waste the money on another hood to cut it up,,the yj lines are real close in the center of the hood,,,the cj ones are really narrow,,,so either get 2 mando hoods or one mando and yj hood,,,,,,now just mud work

Just one question on the grill work to make the radiator fit, wouldn't it have been easier to take the 'wings' off of the commando hood and attached them back to the cj/wrangler grill, depending on your headlight shape preferance.

Yes, I'm sure. The sheetmetal was lengthened 2" more than the wheelbase. This causes problems for post-71 CJs with big tires interfering with the back half of the fender edge, a problem which early CJs don't have. I suppose a later CJ would be less likely to catch the front edge of a fender though.

Not sure about your fender question. I'd think the fenders would be different on top to match the wider hood, but don't know for sure.

well,,,i put the lift on and got a set of 33's for cheap,,,,,,this is the highest/most lifeted jeep i've owned,,,,to be honest,,,i think its too tall for me,,,,but the price for all parts was to good to pass up,,,,toatal cost for used 33's plus mount and balance/body lift/rancho lift and shocks/ and misc. hardware and bolts,,,my total is 432 bucks,,,,,at that price i can live with it,,,here she is
