You should be able to use the front output retainer with the twin shifters as a unit. You will also need to swap the shift rails. Good time to do a rebuild. There are a few guys here that have used the single stick shift rails and adapted them to the twin. Maybe they'll chime in here.

rather than swap out the shift rails which means tearing the entire thing apart.....I just used a grinder with a metal cut off wheel...and notched the single stick shift rail to match the twin stick style...

I really shouldn't addmit to the fact that in a wrench marathon I managed to notch mine on the wrong side of the shaft....but even in doing that I managed to do some creative grinding and spaced it out just right and made it work...moral...measure twice notch the shift rail once.

but definatley works just fine...and who the hell is going to see it anyways once it's installed.

    Matt,
I'm going through this now. I'm taking the front housing etc. off an old twin stick to put on to my single stick d18. I'm doing it as part of a rebuild.
There's a good picture of the parts on Herm's web site.
