F134 Timing Mark

    On my ‘58 F134, the timing mark which is attached to the timing cover appears to be wrapped/bent back against the cover. Should it be bent back or sticking out over the crank pulley where the groove is? I worry about bending it back, if that is where it should be, and it breaking off.

    Yours sounds correct, it points down.

    I used Scoutpilot's method of setting the timing and wanted to check it just to see where it ended up. I had forget to find this out the last time I messed with the timing light. I found a picture of when I pull the engine for the rebuild and it was the same as it is now. Thanks for the confirmation.
