FOR SALE ALL ORIGINAL 1971 JEEP CJ-5

NOTE: This NOT a RENEGADE, Just has the decal on the hood

I'm running out of parking space here at the house. So sadly, and with great pain and regret it's time for me to give up old yeller.

She's an all original 1971 V6 CJ-5 with dual gas tanks. She runs Great.

I've restored her over the past 10 years and have lots and lots of spare stuff that will go with her, like: a complete NIB Pertonics ignition system to include the flame thrower coil (I never it installed because she ran so good with ignition points), NIB starter, NIB alternator, NIB aluminum radiator, spare Rochester 2G carburetor, 5 gallon steel Gerry can with mount, factory service manuals, and much more.

    Located in El Paso, Texas.

    $8,000

CLARIFICATION: this jeep is NOT “as it came from the factory original”, but it is “all original minus any substantial modifications”. It has been maintained and had a few upgrades: it's been repainted the original color and the Renegade decals added, alternator upgraded to an internally regulated Delco, engine re-painted with POR paint, second gas tank was added under the seat, trailer hitch receiver was added, a grill guard was added, it has a Bestop Super Top, storage chest is bolted into the bed, a radio was added, horn button moved to steering column. The photos speak for themselves. Please call with any questions.

Thanks. I priced it to sell. As anyone who has restored an old Jeep knows I have put far more than the selling price into it, but I did it as a passion knowing I'd never get all my money out of it. I'm hoping to sell it to someone here who has the same passion for old Jeeps. I'm afraid if I sell it locally or on EBay someone will chop her up.

Agreed - especially considering some of the 1971 benefits with dual MC, flanged 44 and rear tank included!

I'm the owner. It's my one and only jeep. I've got all kinds of spare parts for it too, from tail lights to a parking brake handle. All kinds of stuff I hoarded during restoration.

Sad story because if you sell it, you'll no longer have a Jeep. Can't some other vehicle you own get axed?

There's gotta be a better reason than lack of parking space....:worry:

No other reason! Sadly it's at the bottom of the need category right now.
