I'm going to have to replace my hood on a 67 Jeepster. Can someone tell me what years I should be looking for that will fit correctly? I assume the hood is the same as used on a CJ-5

A hood from another 67-71 Jeepster would work. CJ5s have a narrower hood.

Right - you need a C101 Jeepster hood, '71 or earlier. The CJ or C104 Commando hood will not fit.

Some have replaced the entire front clip with one from a CJ, but I'm not sure what's involved.

Might be difficult to find a decent hood. What's wrong with the hood you have?

P.O. liberally used quite a bit of bondo, and some areas of rust that has gone through the hood. I was hoping to avoid welding in a bunch of patches. Glad to know that a CJ won't fit, I just assumed they had the same front end. Guess I will sandblast the hood and see how bad the damage is. I've welded in quite a few patches already, just was hoping to avoid having to weld more patches. Thanks for the info.
