    That's exactly right. CJ's were manual choke (2G) and Commandos had the 2GC with the choke cap on the side of the carb.

    You would know if its a 198 by the bellhousing pattern. The 198 and 215 V8 have two "Mickey Mouse" ears rather than the Buick/Olds/Pontiac bellhousing pattern on the Dauntless.
