Anyone have experiance with one of these Repop hoods? its clear that I will never be able to get my original flat enough to require less then 1/4" of filler so thats a no go.

I have looked at Classic's Enterprises hoods but the cost is outrageous $650.00 to my door and all of the pieces for the tub I bought had to be worked to fit anyway so not real sold on their fitment.

I know a number of people have said the MD Juan hood being sold by Omix-Ada can be to tight (corners pinched in) in the rear. But I already know how to spread that out a little.

Summit Racing sells the Omix-Ada hood for $375.00 to my door so I am really interested.

Can you give any more details?

I am currently looking at an original hood that I would guess could take a Body work Pro 5+ hours to just get to the point a bunch of filler would get it close to acceptable. Course it would weigh 50lbs. And the half dozen used hoods have been in pretty much a similar condition. And the sellers want $150+

I don’t think they bent the hood correctly. The passenger side has a nice even 3/8” gap above the fender. The drivers side however, starts off tight and tapers up to a 3/4” gap by the tub.

I have ordered a new hood its on its way. As to the used hood shown in that CL ad I would have to see a LOT more and better photos before I would even consider a 600 mile round trip to fetch what could turn out to be as much work as my original hood. I appreciate the effort though

Pretty sure that every repop on the market today is an MD Juan product. No others that I know of at least.

Actually Classic Enterprises a US company makes a couple different versions and if they weren't so expensive I most likely would have gone that direction. But the difference between $375 and $650 is a lot of other jeep parts
