Another vote for the SWAG table - I got a second band saw in a group of tools a guy was selling so I stopped pursuing a horizontal band saw at that time...

Sides - I have an Evo saw now too :)

About time you came over to the Cold Saw World............did you get an EVO 380?........If so find yourself a 15" blade ......opens up more things to cut.

I got lucky, found a Wilton 14 speed vertical ban saw for 1/2 of new about 20 years ago, it has paid for it's self by now.

I was using a Milwaukee portaband saw in the trades back in the 80's never once did a Milwaukee ever fail. One of my cheaper bosses bought a new one from HF not sure of exact brand broke in one week though.

Bought it with a 15" Blade - Discount Steel was having a sale and only spent $80 on the blade. Got some Foxfire in a stick - not doing well putting it on as it's not like the ones I remember.

it does not slide out of the tube to rub on the blade, so I'm not sure how I should apply it. So far I've just made a good mess with it :)

Just push the tube and all into the cutting end of the blade teeth.....it doesn't matter if it eats the cardboard as long as some wax gets on the blade......a little goes a long way......The saw blade does most of the work.......I only dress it if I have something fairly hard to cut off..............Best cutoff saw I have owned............after two years still on the original blade..

Well - sounds like I did it the way you do. Started a little slice in the tube with the blade for an initial dressing. Figured I would lube it if I was in for a day of cutting or about every couple months depending on usage.

Tried things with the 14" blade that came with it. Managed to bend a tooth as the clamp came loose on me doing some test cuts. Glad it was with that one and not the 15" at this point ;)
