OK as promised here a couple more questions....

Does someone have a pic of a fairly straight original dash for a 65 era. I have a couple switches missing and a couple holes. I would like to know the proper placement. Should be the headlight switch and the wiper switch and who knows what else. I am sure something will come to mind I am missing later!!

Also, which is the standard signal switch that came with a 60 era Jeep. I have two different ones. One is a Spartan and another where you pull the lever out for 4-way.

I would like to at least get the headlights working normal, with signals, and wipers so I can get it inspected. The wipers are electric. The PO replaced the vacuum with electric but I do not think they are hooked up. Is the wiring inside the windshield channel? I think I'll have to take one off and have a look see!

I saw in previous post about the pros and cons of registering as antique or not for inspection purposes. Anyone know the difference for NY and TX (residency).

The only things on the dash would be grouped around the speedo. Ignition switch lower right, lights top right, choke top left and hand throttle bottom left. Wipers were vacuum with individual switches on the motors. Do you have two top mounted wiper motors? Should be little screws visible on the motors for wiring.

I registered my '66 in Va as an antique....No inspection and cheap...$13.50 good for life....only bad thing I can think of is the limitations on it's use....Not supposed to be a dd...only supposed to drive it for shows, parades and "occasional" pleasure

Thanks for "Stan's link". Pretty much has a lot of answers to my questions.

I do have the electric wiper motors made by American Bosch (AB) appear to be new. I located the "hidden" terminal studs to hook up the wiring.

Also, talked to PO and asked about my dash panel. It appears it is of unknown year as he bought off eBay and was one with "less" holes and mostly original. However, it does have three separate gauges and thanks to Glenn for the correct placement of the switches.
