Hi all. Broke this while installing my manifolds (slipped off of the studs - luckily I caught it!)

Whatever it is (water temp sensor?) it wasn't in use and I don't intend to replace it, just plug it. The part thats broken off had 3 hose barbs coming off of it, which had plugged hoses on them.

What I'm wondering is... it appears to have a gradually increasing thickness (like a cone) on the threaded area (what is that called??)

What can I use to simply plug the hole in the block? Anyone know the size?

Thank you (sorry for the rotated picture)[IMG]

If you not going to replace it, just use a pipe plug with a thread sealant.

Jeep calls them CTOs (coolant temperature override). Otherwise known as TVS (thermal vacuum switch). The tapered thread is NPT (national pipe thread), likely 1/4" or 3/8" NPT. Home center or hardware store will have a pipe plug that size.
