I changing front brakes on my 72 CJ-5 to 6 bolt disc brakes and can not find a torque value for the spindle stud nuts. If anybody has that value the help would be appreciated.

I used to have a link to a DANA 30 shop manual. But I replaced mine with a 44. I know that there is one out there someplace.

The '72 TSM shows the brake backing plate mounting torque at 35-55 ft-lb. This is shown in the table at the end of section 10. If you want to confirm with a disk brake application, section 9 of the 1977 TSM shows the brake mounting plate torque also at 35-55. The '77 TSM is available free to download at www.oljeep.com You can buy a CD-ROM of the '72 TSM at RockAuto for around $20.
