I’m trying to find a thread that keeps coming up dead. The Google doesn’t have a direct link, so I’ve only found it through a link through a link... and so on. Always comes up dead. I’d like to see a progression of tub differences. For example...

Battery block off cover ended in ‘64, right?

    ... what about these?

... changes in the font of JEEP on the cowl... hood/fender/tailgate differences... and so on. I know there was all kinds of evolutionary changes. Does such a thread still exist?

The cowl panel with the welded battery box lid and the raised mirror mount was phased out in 1964. I have seen early production '64s with these features, but my '64 Tux (June '64 build) has no lid or mirror bump.
As far as the rear top bow sockets, those disappeared sometime in the 1966 model year. I have a '66 without, and several members here have earlier '66s with them.
The fording cover on the hood also was phased out in '66. My '66 has one, but later '66s have none.
I have never documented the big square washers for the seat belt mounts, but my '64 has them. Later tubs lost the under seat fuel tank, so the filler recess disappeared.
Early grills (up to about '62?) had slightly recessed signal lights, and used clear glass lenses.
Dashboard switches changed around 1967 moving controls left of the column, and some, but not all Jeeps around 1960 -1962 have welded dashes. A hardtop feature?
    Any other differences?

I would like to see this too. I realize it's asking someone to do some work, but I love reading about the history and changes as they go through the years.
