Dang 'Tang, you just have stuff that can kill ya'. I sold off the Yamaha XT550s last summer and the Harley is on it's way out. the guy buying it has 7 bikes already, Not too sure why he wants it but the $2,000 bucks in the motor I did makes It a fast *** some bichi. A few of my Harley friends have ridden the Harley and admit, it's faster than they thought it could be for a 80 CI motor.
I do wish I had kept one of the Yamahas,In some way, I enjoyed riding them more.

Recently finished up an 8 year project - nut & bolt rotisserie rebuild of an early '46 CJ-2A w/ column shift, tool indents, square windshield thingys & matching numbers.

Also building a cabin on some land we own in the next county. This has only been a five year project.

Not really a project, but like any old vehicle always seems to need something.. My summertime daily driver '48 International KB-1. It was originally a Bell telephone service truck. It sat in a desert in Arizona for 32 years before I rescued and got it back on the road. Photo taken during an indoor show this past winter. Won Excellence in Class: [IMG]

The current project, my '49 Chevy 3600. Nearly done..

And this just followed me home...

Projects had to get smaller on the road...but I was going nuts without some kind of build hobby.

Just wrapped this up: 1952 Philharmonic table radio. It was a $5 flea market find and made vague buzzing sounds. I gutted it (saving the tubes for sculpture projects), got the clock working again, made a new aluminum back, put in some Harmon Kardon media speakers (it's stereo now), and a Bluetooth 3W amp. The case and brass I just cleaned up a little - I like the patina. The original volume control still works.

Well I got the boat finished. My son and I took it up to Skiatook lake to try it out yesterday. Boat worked great, just have a little more tweaking to do. The weather was perfect. We caught a few little bass but we we're mainly just testing the boat.

My son just turned 13. He had a blast although it is apparently uncool to smile In pictures even if they are to show mom.

Iv got a few things going the first is a minibike in the antique style with a leaf sprung front suspension and sliding pillar rear. Its got an old cast iron clinton engine probrobly 4 hp or so. The second is a side by side tandem bike with 2 wheels in the center. I dont know how well itll work but itll be intresting.

I started this project about 2 years ago. It's a 1943 South bend 9" x 48" lathe. The machine had seen little use and had very little wear but had been sitting for years torn apart and had most of its original paint gone and had been partially repainted using latex house paint. It needed some TLC badly, I paid $300 for it from a man in Cincinnati I met thru an internet forum. I have stripped it all back to bare metal, used filler on some of the casting voids, sanded and ground others smooth and then primed and repainted about 90% of it. Still have some to do but its getting there.

What it looked like when I got it.
