Windshield Support Backing Plates

    For some reason p.o. removed the windshield props that bolt through the hood. I found the hardware online and purchased it yet the kid did not come with the backing plates.
    I'd like to get the dimensions of the plate. ga. or thickness, width and length and also the finish (i.e. phosphate, or body color paint).

    It's just a rectangular plate, zinc plate (phosphate?) finish, at least on the intermediates. It has a post-war Willys PN, 689294. It's likely unchanged since then.

    Can't get a picture tonight ... I'll try in the morning. It's maybe 1.25" wide by 2.5" and 16 or 14 ga.

    2-3/4" x 1-1/2", looks like about 14 ga. to me.

    THank you, perfect! p.o. removed and inserted ss bolts with washers. I attribute it to jeep has a bestop.
