I have a decent pair of doors I picked up on CL for $50. I really liked the half doors on my Wrangler and thought about cutting these extras down. Anyone ever do this? Pics?

You have Meyer standard doors and you want to cut them? it is very light steel and hinges are positionned on the windshield part.

All is possible but it will be lot of work. Easier to build new doors or find some existing.

I know it's kinda sacrilege but I think they would look cool. I would think one would have to remove all window mech and the cover and reinforce it somehow. I'm picturing so sort of lip on top you could rest your arm on.

I am not judge for the sacrilege, this is a good idea but it seems easier to me to create the door from scratch, buy aluminium and make it because the Meyer doors are very light quality.

It is your business but myself and I know others would really hate to see you cut up nice doors. I agree with Alan about making them from scratch. If nothing else use the good doors as a template and make the half doors as you described and then sell the good doors. I do agree that half doors look cool and are quite useful at times. Personally I like either a full door or no door. :):coffee:
