Need a "Weird Parts" Supplier...

I know that owning a Jeep, someone in here has had to find a supplier for just about everything weird. I need a supplier or a link or whatever for an item that I am going to try and describe. Can't take a picture, because I don't have one. It is an adjustable pushrod that has spherically seated connectors on each end with a hole in the spherical piece so they can be solidly bolted to whatever the pushrod is connecting and still provide pivot action. If I knew what they were called, I would tell you, but I have no idea. All I know is I have used them many times over the years, but I could always get them at farm supply hardware stores. Problem is, I don't live near one of them now. Can anyone help me? Thanks!!

Heim joint, or rod end. Summit Racing also has them in about any size/material/price you can imagine.

Thanks to all of you. I will check it out. I need it for a clutch modification I did with hanging pedals. I just have a rod in there now, which works fine, but I prefer to have the item which should work best. I will keep the rod in the Jeep, just in case I ever break the replacement.

Ace Hardware, maybe? I got the ones I built my adjustable rod from at the local hardware store in Florence, Arizona.

We don't have an ACE close to us, only OSH and Home Depot. When I asked about this at these two places, I just got blank, vacuous stares...

any mom and pop type stores?

    either hardware or automotive?

    nickmil In mothballs.

I'm not familiar with OSH but not surprising with Home Depot. They don't even stock 7/16" bolts.
Might try McMaster-Carr. I know they have them but have to be ordered on-line.

Might also try a tractor supply store, heavy equipment supplier, or heavy truck supplier.

Home depot has terrible fasteners if they have them at all. Fastenal has what you want or can get them, but they are probably chinese. Buy good fasteners like holo krome or another brand from a company who lists the specs https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/Fasteners?navid=12108705 or http://www.mcmaster.com

Thanks for the information. This forum is really great. Keeps me from having to re-invent the wheel. Have a good one, whatever you all are up to...
