I didn't think about the auto taking up space....definitely adds some complexity to an exhaust system, especially if you want to stay inside the frame. I've heard yours wound up a little, and I should correct my comment. I agree yours has a little rasp at higher RPM, but I still think it sounds cool, and unique. And with it being a V6, it the sound is unexpected, which makes it cooler. What I am not too fond of with V8 engines is the sound that is quite prevalent around here with the low rider crowd. That high pitched, kind of slappy sound, usually with "glass packs." Even on muscle cars, I prefer more of a "truck tone," a tone that is deep and throaty. I don't mind the sound of a chambered system either, like with a Flowmaster. It's definitely different, and takes getting used to.....although with Flowmasters, I prefer a crossover, not just for performance but for sound. Made a big difference on my '67 Mustang which has FMs.

I had to "make it mine". I always liked the red hood blister on the white Jeep, so I gave the Tux the same..

Looks good, I like the silver accent. Tell us how you did it all? Rattle can or...?

Rattle can, and silver striping tape. Keep it waxed, and the rattle can paint will last for years.

They still make tan and gray. This one is a "limited edition". All that means is it has this tag. [IMG]

Thanks! Yeah, I always liked the tan. I had gray, black, and tan on the white Jeep. I think the tan goes really well with the yellow. I put it on yesterday afternoon, outside here at the house, 30*. It was tight!..:)

Those pics would make excellent Bestop advertisement photos.

Was the black one in as good of shape as it looks in the pics? Looks brand new too.

The black top is about 7 years old, and the Jeep sat outside until I got it. Goes to show how far a little care goes. ;) That top is going on my son's '59 today.
