Replaced which I believe to be the original gasket. It was hard as plastic and had many splits and cracks! It broke in half when I removed it. Here is the new one from Walck's.
Another thing to cross off the list :)

I did that, what a difference, my Jeep rattled, and I couldn't figure out from where. I put a new gasket on the windshield and it got quit. The clamps would hit the dash before, now they are a quarter inch from hitting the dash.

You have a CJ-5 and expect it not to rattle? Mine was vibrating so badly I couldn't believe it. I changed out the motor mounts Huge improvement!!

Then that is light years better than Kiaser Willys. That is where I got mine and the rubber is all grey looking and I had to stretch it to fit in areas. The one from Kaiser does work fine also though, just more trouble, does not look as good and cost more

Ack! Sorry to hear that. I've bought from all 3 of the main guys (Mid West, Willy's Kaiser and Walck's) I know that Walck's had mentioned a quality issue with Omi-Ada products. This gasket is not that brand, it says they make it themselves. I've had great customer service with Walck's, shipping is very good, and the quality has been great.

The windshield gasket was the last thing I changed, everything was already changed. My Jeep stills rides like a Jeep, but quieter.
