Actually there are Ford wheels that will fit without modification, also IH Scouts.

What does the seat look like? I can't quite find one that would set into those through the kaiser willys parts website?

There are several types. It depends on the year of your jeep, military or civilian, etc.
Try searching the archives of this site for info.

Some are quite rare, especially if complete with springs/upholstery.

I'm not an expert but your mounts look like maybe a homemade conversion to a miltary style.

Proving I'm no expert on the subject. As I readily admit. :D

So…what DOES the seat look like?

Hmm this is really interesting thanks PeteL, and Focker haha I like that name. My jeep is a 65, this is going to require some real super sleuthing.

Anyone know what this is for? It's on the inner passenger side frame rail just above where the transmission/transfer case cross member mounts on a '71 V6

It's for a hard rubber block to mount the cross member bracket to... Similar to an engine mount.

Ron beat me to it and he's smarter than me.

    Mine's intact and I have the V6?

I think he meant (at least it looks like) it's the same part as a 4cyl motor mount.

Thanks guys. I don't remember taking anything off from there but its almost two years now.

Is that bracket next to it the part that goes to the transfer case?

Thanks for the picture of it installed. I'm fairly certain mine is missing that bracket, but it had a rubber mount that attached to a bracket on the front of the cross member.

Edit. Went through some old pictures from before the jeep came completley apart. The green circle is where the t case is attached to the cross member and the red looks like nothing attached to that torque mount.

Is the cross member bracket for the transfer case from a four cylinder or is it supposed to be there along with the other bracket?
