Over the last 4 days all installed, antifreeze in no leaks, engine primed 60lbs oil pressure. The original dipstick tube was toast, GeoffreyL fabbed up an excellent copy out of 5/16 steel line with the original bracket while I plied away on radiator and other stuff. Elected to wait until a warmer day as I didn't want to start a new engine at 32 deg. Stay tuned 50 forecast for Sunday..

my dipstick really sucks. Have to use vice grips to remove all the way and use it to put it back in. The bends are a bit tight and don't want to break the handle off. Original tube if I would have to suspect. Just one of those Jeep niches ya know. And does staring down your Jeep and admire the ruggedness count for doing something to my Jeep today?

Rich. Is that a fuel injection? 2 or 4bbl?

Holley TA470 4bbl. I have a 390cfm which may end up on it though.

Found some vintage style key fobs with the early AMC era Jeep logo an Amazon. They look pretty good. It's tempting to paint the blue with the Kiaser Jeep logo gold.

Cut the giant homemade bumper off the front of the jeep and started mounting a original Koenig winch bumper. The homemade bumper had to weigh 120lbs.

I still works I'm going to use it till it stops working. I just need to find the cage that went around the winch drum now.

Victory is mine! Sort of. Engine fired right up, cam run in. Right at the end the alternator went up in smoke. The clutch doesn't throw out enough. Still it's progress

Nothing like a good running Buick V6, even or odd.

Runs really smooth. Frankly I've never found the odd fires to run rough at all. In general I keep a fair amount of advance dialed in and never had ill effects, just the opposite.

My CJ has been in the body shop for two months having body and rust repair addressed. They finished today and as soon as the streets dry off some I’ll trailer it home for reassembly.

    Dphillip,
Look's great, Brother ! (y) My 2 cents is to have your ' Jeep ' logo raised letters done in the black that match's your bumpers & frame. Both Tailgate & Tub. That will really make the work ' POP '
