it,s hard to put thirty year old photos in the forum. i guess scan them then down load them.. my first ren.1 looks just like the purple jeep in the forum picture of the five renegades in the history section. but my jeep had black seats with pin striping, note the white seats in the purple jeep in the forum. i had original white striped tires, rims, even had the pindle hitch!, damsure miss that cj. bought a dif, ren1. same color but been alterd, it has the white seats like in jeep pictures in forum history..

Hey Tiger, Did you get your spare tire carrier figured out? I have an original R1 that i'm happy to share for the purpose of measurements & pics so you can fabricate the correct replacement. I am in Auburn Washington.

I know this is an old thread but I am looking for some more information on the little T pin that latches the carrier on the driver side. Are you able to share any close up pictures or provide dimensions? Would be much appreciated. :)

I have one of these carriers with a T- latch, only problem it is over at my brothers workshop about 35 miles away. If no one else post a photo before I will be over there late next week and will take a photo for you.

  13. i'd really like to find/make one of those carriers, not a huge fan of side mounted.
