Hood Art

    I had this old hood from a ‘55 I picked up. It had a lot of rust and didn’t look usable. I washed it down with some Muratic acid. It look just enough rust off to bring out some of the old color. It looked pretty good.
    I thought it would make a cool wall hanger with Eugene on it.
    Here’s where I ended up. I’ve got rough it up a bit to make it go with the rusty hood. But I think it’ll be cool.

    It’s pretty easy to cheat. If you make a grid of the original artwork, and make a grid on the end product, you just transfer the lines in the square.

    I think it is very cool. So few people remember Eugene, and the historic link to Jeeps.
