Hi guys;) We're thinking of selling our '68 Kaiser/willys/Jeep. A couple questions:
    1) I can't find or explain what I have. I searched for the link on our site, but aren't functioning. So what do I say when selling it? How do I explain what it is? Is it still considered a CJ5?

    2) how does one put a price on a project? just pick a number?

    3) the only classic I've sold recently was my 59 Chevy Apache which brought 17.5, which started off at 22k.

This was the first Jeep project which brought me here to this truly remarkable forum, this was my brothers jeep. My brother sold his jeep for 11k.

Jeeps are all so different and so personal, I doubt there is any valid book value.

I would ask myself very honestly, what price would leave me satisfied to sell, and at what price would I rather keep it? That is my minimum bracket.

For the maximum, I suppose you guess at what you'd pay for it if you were buying and you really really liked it, compared to available alternatives.

Well once again I will offer to bail someone out of a bad investment. I will give you $1000 for the green "Jeep" if that is what you still want to call it.

I guess I'll just put it on FB at a ridiculous price and see what happens, just have a little work to do to it;)

It's definitely a CJ5, just not a Willys though, just Kaiser. Just tell any potential buyers you put Willys on it because it looks cool. :)

    It's just kind of confusing, it's a CJ5 Kaiser, "not a Willys" and not a Jeep , but I like your answer~~~ !!!!! ;)

Agree with Pete, it all has to to do with the value you place on it more than anything else. Hopefully it'll match the value a buyer puts on it. Someone out there will want it, I know I do!

It's a Kaiser Jeep, model CJ5. Just like your Bronco, it's a Ford Bronco. :)

Its a Jeep CJ5....technically its Kaiser Jeep Corporation, but everyone knows Jeep.

I see how it is, you get that fancy Bronco completed, and then it's all, "I'm thinking of selling my Jeep". The only way this will be allowed on this forum is if you immediately go out and start on a cj6 project, and thoroughly document it here.

An alternative, since it's the 45th anniversary of Elvis' death, is a baby blue tuxedo park, or potentially a surrey :bananatool:

    @Dne007 I do not know which model year your CJ is. For a quickie clarification;

Prior to Kaiser/Willys merge was Willys Overland
    After merge, was Willys Motors.
    After 1963-ish(?) was Kaiser Jeep.
After AMC purchase in 1970 was Jeep Corporation.

That's because "oldies" is now the 80's and 90's
