    Looked this morning:
1 small leak from behind the front driveshaft yoke.
1 small leak from somewhere else, 1 small oil leak. It was 5am, didn't look too close but will inspect more tonight

Removed the transmission and I'm taking it to a shop for a rebuild. Leaks too much yet, and not really interested in taking it apart, resealing it for a 4th time to have it leak again. Told the guy no rush, its a winter project for him.

Tranny is dropped off. I started to show him what I thought were the leak points, he said we will smoke test it, find out for sure where it's leaking from, and take it from there. Sounds good to me. Hopefully it's done and I can get it installed this year yet.

waiting on the transmission to come back, i made some replacement squares from aluminum to replace the 4pack of shims for spacers between the crossmember and frame.

Transmission guy called it is ready to pick up. 150 bucks, so money well spent.

Seriously considering putting this engine and transmission in my orange jeep. Replace the 134/t98. Am I crazy?

Just finished installing the transmission. Got it down to 2.5 hours this go-round. Had my father in-law helping.

Out with old, in with the new old.
@oldtime sold me a setup for getting rid of the engine oil air bath, and I love it.

You will need a breather. That's where the PCV system sucks clean air into the engine.

If I may, why do you like the paper filter so much more? I've always wanted an oil bath filter for my dauntless, which I had on my f-head and didn't have any problems with.

I've heard they spill out at severe angles, is that the case? What are your plans for your old air cleaner?

They're a PITA to service, they don't flow nearly as well, and yes, they can spill over at extreme angles.

Put it on a shelf and let it collect dust.

Edlebrock breather. 15 bucks. Could have got a plain Jane no name unit for 7 bucks, but I like to think she's worth it. Next question, I'm assuming the hose on the air cleaner goes into the little 90degree elbow thing? It wasn't hooked up to anything with the oil air bath
