Oh, we're not leaving until Thursday;) yay!!
IN the meantime, I bought a 3 speed manual transmission, came out of a early dodge truck, originally 3 on the tree, but was converted to floor. I mainly bought it for the bell housing so I can eventually mount my slant 6 engine on my engine run stand. But I was considering the manual, but found this transmission doesn't have 1st gear synchronizers and considered a weak transmission:( However, I got a bell housing for a 100bucks. Now to find a flywheel.
    me;)

Hi, got back from vacation a few days ago, I've been working on the body and other parts. The "tub" is going to take a while, but at least I got it in epoxy today~ quite a chore, but a fun chore;) This upcoming week it's supposed to rain all week :cry:, if anything, it's just nice to be home;) I have been eyeing colors, but not totally decided, but I'll post possible colors later.

this first picture what got me onto the '63 Dart, this pic is a wrap, it was originally something similar, but the wrap is pretty cool, but I'm not doing a wrap. one has to use the imagination to see the following colors on the car.
Mine will have very little chrome if any. I'd really like red interior, but is not mandatory

2024 Hyundai Kona ev, I really like this but don't know what's available, a lot of EV cars have unique colors
    [IMG]

    Kia Telluride, moss green
    [IMG]

Subaru CX50, terrain type, I like the matt black accent, I do like solid colors just because I'd be able to paint the car in pieces.

My first car was a '70 Dart in this green - it wasn't a cool color in High School but I kinda dig it now.[IMG]

With respect... Those modern colors look wimpy to me. Maybe trendy today, but what about in five or ten years from now?

Of course, as a male, I can only identify the three primary colors.

I had a feeling 'green' would be the leaning. I don't know the name of the paint, but what was the green that was used on the Super Bees back when they were new?

The colors are just for thinking, I do appreciate the input, I'm sure whatever color I choose, will look just fine;)

However and in the meantime, I pulled out the other parts, I started on the trunk lid as it was in pretty bad shape, but I made a little headway on it. The braces separated from the support things, I re-epoxied them and I think it will be ok, kind of messy;)

I just ordered a patch panel for this~

On the head of the slant 6, there are two 3/8 bolt holes designed from the factory for lifting the engine/trans. A seller on ebay makes these lift "plates", I'm excited to try it soon;)

Good morning~ no rain, but the sun is behind the clouds:(

So, I got my new lower control arm bushing and the rod thing. I thought it was going to come in two parts, but it's "assembled", I even tried pressing it apart, but that was a no go.

I did get it started with a hammer as it was trying to go in crooked, but once started, my little press did the trick;) I'd hate to know I'd have to remove the bushing! Luckily I have a piece of pipe which fit perfectly! lucky me! ;)

But let's back up a bit, luckily, the bushings were literally gone! otherwise I would have had to burn the old bushings out. Here I'm just finding a washer to weld into the old metal bushing housing.

Though the weld is not spectacular, it did the job on both LCAs. ;)

My how this little press comes in handy! I crossed my fingers and the weld held and out came the old bushing housing! ;)

Here is No bushing housing and ready for "restoration".
