looks good! how do you keep the steering shaft from slipping in and out of those heim joints?

I need to add one more heim on the lower shaft, and then once its bolted to the box it shouldnt be able to move any. Even as it is now there is only a slight amount of movement in the shaft.

picked up my weld on beadlocks from a buddy today and managed to get one of the rings welded on and mocked on the jeep...Ran out of gold paint, so I couldnt finish painting the outer ring :( But will finish it up tommorow :) now to the pics....

    wheels started like this...

Its only been a week since the last one  :D

Got it all dissasmbled this evening and the engine is on the engine stand. Got to change out the rear main, and clean/paint the engine. Do the same with the tranny tcase and put that back together. Then theres a whole list of little projects to finish up then reassmble and hopefully start it up soon.

Got some batteries today... Heres a pic of the 360 painted up all nice like, with the MSD dist/coil installed. Also added another heim to the steering shaft to tighten it up a little more.

And Dan I thought youd like to see my nice hubcaps...trying to figure a way to attatch them to the beadlock, even though they would only last about 5 min offroad :D

Yeah i'd think they wouldbe gone really quick. You know it would be cool if you had lots of money and a water jet. you could make some outers out of 1/4 steel to look just like the hub caps and weld them on the outer ring of the bead locks :)

Dude, miss a day and you miss a week at the rate you're working; last time I checked in you were still trying to source an engine, now you've got one painted and put in!!

Those hub caps are sweet! Maybe you could figure out a little "quick release" feature.
