    sammy Coca-Cola?

Since I had the dual res MC put in, I'll be needing to put a new exhaust system in or else the stock one I pulled is not going to fit, I believe. It's in pristine condition, just cut in the middle.
So I'll cut it again and see if I can't weave it in, but it looks like it will run into my MC.
How would I do this? Is there a kit? Or do I just need to take it to an exhaust shop?
Is it possible to run it under the engine, in front of the oil pan, and then back and out the passenger side? How about a cherry bomb? Would it sound like farts or would it sound OK?
    Thanks!

I had to take mine to the muffler shop and have the exhaust cut and routed under the crossmember for PTO shaft clearances. Sounds like you might want to consider that too, it prolly would be the cheapset way out.

Good thought! I have an OD and PTO as well on mine, and will need a drive shaft at some point. Where does yours come out? I don't want too many fumes inside the tub...

I heated the front tube and bent it down slightly and had the shop fab up a new section to weld to the front tube and bend back up to where the second tube originally was. Had them hold to new tube tight to the crossmember so it didn't drag when wheeling. I think they chadged me around $40 several years ago.

Lots of exhaust info available using the search function. Cherry bombs are fine if you don't intend to do USFS roads. A cheap "turbo" muffler will provide plenty of bark and is OK for a street legal vehicle on USFS lands :)

I searched, just not to the answers I was liking, like if I could cross under :)
How about recycle an old CJ5 muffler that looks OK?

Unfortunately, so far, we don't know what you want from the exhaust, other than just, not too loud in the tub.
Old CJ mufflers are great at muffling sound ... so are other generic "quiet" mufflers. So are a lot of other things ... my neighbor uses an old Pontiac resonator on his MB.

I want an exhaust that won't gas me alive in the tub, be routed away from steering/brakes/OD/PTO, and will be legal. Period.
Andrew, I'll be interested. What did he do for you and how much was it?

Excellent, you don't seem to care the least about performance so, you can do most anything you want. Numerous crush bends and a quiet muffler will fill the bill. Easily done for almost zero dollars. Period. :)

It's an L Head.. I want it to run... I'm not working on a POS ricer. Bringing it back to stock specs is in my ideals. I'm searching out my options. And so far Andrew's guy seems to be the one to take it to and let him figure out. Trust me if I had a mandrel bender I wouldn't be here asking.

He ran the exhaust all the way from the mana folds,. He kept every thing up betwene the frame rails ecept for where he had to go below the frame mounted master cylinder.
    My CJ6 has a Buick 350 with a auto/20 , rear gas tank.
He flanged the cross over pipe so it would be removable.

Not sure if you were addressing me or someone else. Maybe you're just mad about something or tired.

We know it's an L head. Some of us have it's offspring, an F head. Only 10 more design HP. Where does a riceburner come into this?

Best of luck with your endevour :)

Andy when it's done if his price is right I'll roll it over to him and talk it over with him. He sounds like he'll know what he's doing.

What muffler do I want do you think? Maybe just re use the old muffler?
I'll go do 1 more cut tomorrow and see if I can't wiggle it into place to work.

I used a 2.5" turbo muffler, not to loud, just the right tone.

Yeah for the 350 that may be ok, but maybe just go with a smaller universal muffler for the 134?

I just bought a complete stock exhuast system for my 3B from Walcks for $115. Even included the clamps and hangers. But custom is cool. Post pics of how you routed it.
