I'm thinking about adding some beauty rings to my 15" wagon wheels. Anything I need to watch out for? As far as I know my wagons are pretty much standard 15x7 rims, I can't remember the brand though.

I'm new at this, what are beauty rings?

    hopp On our way....

I think they are trim rings that go at the edge of the rim to cover the rime/tire seam and make it shiny chrome.

    Yeah. Rocks, deep mud, ruts....;)
Oh, and like everything else, you get what you pay for...
I used to run them on one of my Blazers, and the Pep Boys units were no where near the quality of the stock ones that came on the Rally wheels.....

OTOH, how tough do they need to be to look pretty in the garage?

That hurts. Patrick. That really hurts. R) R) R)

Did I mention they should be stainless?

Yeah, I was actually thinking stainless would look really good. Spendy, though.
Course will they actually rust in the environment they will be subjected to? :D

I really like trim rings but they do often collect dirt and rust the rim underneeth so youve got to pop em off occationaly and touch up

The Pontiac Rally II wheels from the late 60's and early 70's had a stainless beauty ring that had a nice, rounded edge on it as compared to the ones on the GM rally wheels used in the same time period.

They're on eBay all the time.

Those look a lot like the ones used on the truck Rally wheels in the late '70's-80's...

Real beauty rings are called bead locks. Of course on a virtual Jeep I guess they could be stainless trim rings.
