    Hello All,:p

This is my first attempt with a restoration project. It took me about three years to complete. All the work was completed by me in my garage. None of the work was outsourced to a professional mechanic or body shop. I learned to do the mechanical work, weld, paint and eveything else involved in a restoration project. It is not perfect but I am very pleased with it. I tried to use as much of the original jeep as I could without buying replacement parts.

I do want to thank all the members on this site, the information I obtained from the site and the members is priceless. There is no way I could have comleted this project without this site and a good service manual.

Original parts include: body, frame, engine, transmission, transfer case, drivetrain, Ross steering, 10” brakes, electrical wiring, gauges, seats, windshield, exhaust system, ignition system, cooling and heating, clutch and carburetor.

Restoration objective: Was to return this jeep as close to the day it was purchased from the dealership. Learn and do all the work myself.

Cost: $1,250.00 Color: Spruce Tip Green (original color)
    Engine: F-134 Hurricane 4 – Cylinder 60 Horse power
    Transmission: T-90 –A1 Transfer Case: Spicer / Dana 18
Clutch: 3 spring Auburn Carter YF single bbl. Carburetor
Distributor: Prestolite 1AY-4401A-9Z Brakes: Front and Rear 10” Emergency 9”
Front Axle: Dana 27 4.27 gear ratio Rear Axle: Dana 44 4.27 gear ratio

I'm impressed, you built a good Jeep from a rusty pile.
    Enjoy it.

I stopped by Lee's house today to see his Jeep. I can tell you first hand he did a great job and his Jeep is beautiful. Well done Lee!

Very nice work. It can be a little discouraging when you start discovering all the hidden rust, but you did it proud. Great job!
