It's a good start. Complete otherwise? How difficult is it to get a title in TN?

The weather has been terriable here . Took the passenger fender in the garage to fix the stress cracks . ended up replacing about 5 x 10 inches of sheet metal . also repairing the tail gate . half of an inch of bondo gone around the bottom fresh sheet metal cut and bent in . wondering how the bends will turn out . rather have a roll then the tight bend IDK stock look or modified !!!!!!

You are more of a man than I am. With that much rust and that much bondo, I would never had locked horns with that one. But your most likely more mechanically inclined than I am, I am very much a novice as far as repair and restoration is concerned.

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

I've seen much worse as a start here on ECJ5. Some of them are so bad you get tetanus just by looking at them on the PC screen. I've got one outside right now that makes yours look like a showroom finish that I plan to rebuild after my current project.

It looks fairly complete and while rusty, not in to bad a shape. Start with looking at the frame and looking for rust/cracks/old repairs. Then work off the frame, first frame down and then frame up.

If possible, get it running. That should get your boy back in the mood to work on it. If he starts to loose interest again, get it running and moving. baby steps.

To motivate myself sometimes I set in mine on a milk crate and make hot rod motor noises when no one is around.

When I was driving around the fron yard, people driving by would stop and watch. I still wonder if they knew what they were looking at. Probably many thought it was some kind of home made tractor. I live in a farming area. :D
