Something the previous owner installed. I'd say it's not a door bracket. Round head slotted screws are something Shadetree would use, not Jeep or a legit aftermarket thing, I'd say.

Thanks. I think I’m just going to remove it then.

My guess is a door bar. Woman I knew used to tie her nieces to the passenger seat with clothesline.

I’m afraid I have another question.

Any idea what these hubcaps are supposed to go on? I have a 1970 cj5 and found 4 of these in a box of parts that came with the Jeep. Would they be stock on my Jeep?

My 47 2a has that bracket in the same area but on the driver's side. I asked over at the 2a page, no body really new what is for and told me to just chuck it. I kept it

They look like the turbine caps that came with the CJ-5 mid-70s, if you wanted hub caps. The fronts often had a hole for the hubs to stick through.

That’s exactly what the front ones do. They slip over the hubs.

Is this the distributor hold clamp? I found it in the baggy of intake bolts for a 1969 Dauntless. I'm used to the fork style.

Recently had my F-head completely rebuilt. I found two 1/4 in threaded holes on the back of the engine block just below the head level. Anyone have any idea what they are used for. Could one be used for the ballast resistor (nearest the coil)?

One should be a clip to support the oil line running to the head, not sure about the other.

Looking for some input on this master cylinder bracket. I picked up 2 67 cj5s a couple weeks ago (project & donor). PO started a tub replacement/restoration and never finished.

My parts jeep has this master cylinder bracket, which looks like some of the brackets in the dual reservoir master cylinder kits I’ve been researching. But this MC looks like a single reservoir to me. The project Jeep’s master cylinder bolts to the frame. Was this frame bracket a factory part, or aftermarket? It looks like it attaches to the top and bottom of the frame, I don’t see any fasteners in the side of the channel. I’m going to try to use it if I can, just curious about it. Thanks!

Thanks Howard so I guess technically I have three. One being used for the clip as you explained and two others. My phone camera makes too large of files to drop in here so I need to see if I can down size them to share pictures again. I'll work on that.
