I am having a great time putting this together.

Also got the mirrors on, dashboard installed and a few odd items. Passenger side never had mirrors I guess. I had to remove the windshield hinge to drill and tap for mirror bolts.

Seems this Jeep never had a glovebox door either. I had to drill new holes in the dash and I’m still working on the latch catch.

Got a little time tonight for Jeep work.
Painted inside of glovebox white. I’m sure someone here did this a while back. Makes sense to me. Easier to see stuff inside.

Mounted the rear bikini top hoop (aka, rollbar). The way these are bolted to the fenders it seems like anything but the slowest rollover would rip the bar off. I tried to make this slightly stronger by reinforcing underneath. I cut the old rear crossmember brace into 3.5” pieces. Then drilled for 1/2” grade 8 bolts. Washers top and bottom and lock washers. Hopefully it will never be needed.

I got my Windshield glass installed by the local glass company yesterday. They charged me $200 to make and install the glass. I didn't waist any time getting it installed on the Jeep. Put the bikini top on as well.

I also clamped on the fender flairs to see how they looked/fit. No question I will use these!!

I need to do the same. The windshield in my tan cj5 has some hazing around the edges.
    Your Jeep looks great!

Scored a free tow bar and hardware. Including lights from a friend who is done with Jeeps.

Is this to many nuts and bolts to have leftover?

I carefully bagged and tagged almost every bolt ....... then replaced almost every bolt. Thinking about starting a “for sale” thread. :D

Wife is visiting friends in TX this week so more Jeep time for me.
I mounted the new free tow bar. Bolted the muffler hangers thru the floor.
When installing the windshield clamps I found I put the grab-bar in the way. So I took about 1/2” off the clamp arm. It still hits the bar pretty bad but I can wedge it open.

The black headlight bezels are definitely right for this body color.

For the grab bar interference, can you put some spacers or rubber bushings on it to move it out from the dash 3/4”
