I have Cherokee pedals in my 46, but I'm now thinking about this for my 70 cj5. This is dirt cheap for all new parts. I might go Roxor 44 front axle on the 46 though.

Question - is it possible to run these without the booster?

Good question, like just put a spacer in there or use a different plunger?

If you wanted to use a diff master but the Roxor pedal setup, you'd have to check ratios and throw and whatnot.

Thanks, yes, that's what I was thinking. I picked up a pedal assembly from a member recently (Thanks, Dennis!) I'm looking at Roxor's stuff on their website, and compared to Wilwood stuff I used on a hotrod project, they're definitely cheap, but I'm just thinking about spares going forward.

For example, if I'm trail riding and lose a clutch/brake master, If I can limp it off the trail - can I go to Autozone and get a replacement at ANY cost (just to get it back on the road). With a Roxor, I'd likely be dead in the water since it's a dealer only item... but with say a Ford/Chevy/Jeep component, even if it was a couple hundo's - it's more likely that I'd be back in business after a parking lot swap.

Since I've never had a failure of a brake or clutch master cylinder in ANY of my 4x4's, this may end up being a mental exercise before I simply order Roxor part's...lol, but I thought i'd ask.

BTW, as for the Roxor brake booster, would I just need to find a source of vacuum from my motor? Is it more complicated than that?

Right. It does seem like they use Detroit parts bin stuff often. There is likely a mass market OEM conversion part for that master. It certainly doesn't look abnormal.

Nope. Just find a vac source. It's not a bad idea to use a check valves and vac canister to provide some brake boost after vac is lost, in an emergency, though.

Putting all Roxor stuff on my Jeep. Master cylinder and clutch masters are made by Girling. The only issue I ran into is the brake booster is close to the valve cover. Had to move the pedals close to the steering column. A smaller in diameter booster would have been nice. I bought it and was going to use it.

Thanks for the info, Steve -Girling is good quality, for sure.

Just FYI, by cheap, i wasn't meaning "bad", just inexpensive, which is GOOD. :) Was mostly just spit-balling about availability.

Question for those of you who have completed this hows it working. Wonder if this would work with hudro boost

The master is a normal vac master. The Roxor runs a very common diesel swap alternator that has a vac pump on it (actually had the same one on the shelf already lol).

Im definitely considering this on my CJ-6/Kubota swap project. I was thinking of using an electric vacuum pump like the one on my 7.3L PSD with a small reservoir to provide the vacuum source for the booster.

Just curious if anyone has specs on the clutch master. I’m thinking of using a slave like this one Wilwood Disc Brakes - Search: 260-1333 to convert my Ford T18 to hydraulic.

the alternaftor on the roxor has a vac pump built in. Its a common one too.
