Installed Skinner Fuel Filter On 2a

Picked it up at estate sale down the road for $2.50, didn’t know what I had until home and cleaned it up. With 3 filters in system don’t expect any tank debris making it to carb.

That's cool. Never saw one of those before. Can you still get replacement filters for it?

 

Seen sediment bowl filters, but they were never identified by brand name. Definitely cool. They will keep water out of your float bowl too, if you somehow get some contaminated fuel. Back in the day, Jeepers would install them to block water that was sometimes in the Pemex gas in Mexico.

 

Supposedly Fuji Filters has one that will work. The filters are not paper, they can be cleaned and put back into service.

I agree, a glass fuel filter/sediment bowl on an old engine is cool.

Nice Iv got a Carter on the shelf I should really install because I dont have a filter but the bowl on the pump acts as a sediment filter aswell doesnt it?

 

Just about every gas tractor made before the 50's have those. Still readily available from the tractor restoration places.
