I think the parts guy is confused AGAIN.

Rear wheel cylinders are 13/16 inch ID bore and have a straight along the axle thread for the nipple on the brake tube/line

Front are on the 45 degree angle along the front axle and need the "S" tube. USA drivers side face backwards and passenger side 45 degree angle face backwards, they are 1 inch ID bore

Guy is telling me not to buy and he will not restock the wheel cylinders because his reference book STARTS with AMC and does not cover Kaiser Willys.. help

Looking at the Dorman parts catalog, it appears that they no longer list wheel cylinders for a '66 CJ5, just a wheel cylinder kit. Check Rockauto for other brands.

I changed my rear wheel cylinders to 1" because I could not get the 3/4" but could get 1". Rebuild kits are the way to go if they are at all salvageable.

Wouldn't the typical military suppliers have what you need?

Oh, I wish! there were only 126 vehicles for the contract, they took a standard 1966 cj5 and tweaked it. I find more parts thru general cj5

Do yourself a favor and find some 11" backing plates. You'll stop faster and parts are cheaper and plentiful.
